課程概述 |
This course consists of a series of seminars on econometrics and statistics. The seminars will cover a wide range of topics in empirical economics, applied and theoretical econometrics, and applied and theoretical statistics. Scholars at the research frontiers are invited to present their research results. |

課程目標 |
This course provides a platform for researchers and students to interact with each other, in order to nurture high quality research. This course is sutiable for advanced undergraduate and graduate students who are planned to be researchers in the academia or the related industries. |

課程要求 |
Students are expected to read the research papers (before and after the seminars) and attend the seminars. There will be attendence check. |
|
預期每週課後學習時數 |
Students are required to choose one seminar paper and write a report on it. The report should consist of at least 3 parts:
i. paper summary;
ii. literature review;
iii. comments.
For example, based on the paper summary and literature review, students may comment on what the paper could contribute to the literature.
Besides these 3 parts, the report may include discussions on the related papers, books, and literature.
The report should be at least 4 pages long. Please do not commit plagiarism. |
